I have posted below a new release. A beautiful Specimen Black Pine 11" tall in 11" pot. This tree has a powerful 3" trunk.
-
Fall is fast approaching as I can see it in our maples. After an extremely hot July and August their leaves are starting to curl and dry up. The good news is that the Junipers and Pines loved the heat and are at their peak. It looks like our deciduous trees will be going dormant early this year as leaves are already starting to drop.

I am starting to catch up so I will be photographing our new release's and trying to get them on our site. A magnificent Specimen Black Pine, 12 Specimen Mountain Maples, 200 Sohin Elms, 25 Trident Maples group (3) plantings and many more.

Flowering Pomegranate Bonsai 7POM8

Flowering Pomegranate, beautiful shiny green leaves, orange red flowers in late summer, followed by small red apple-like fruits. In ancient time it was considered a sacred plant to be worshiped.Tree is in a 10" fine quality pot and is 24" tall.7pom8 POMEGRANATE (Punica Granatum) Summary This subtropical deciduous tree is a wonderful choice for bonsai with its sophisticated flowering and fruiting qualities. The fascinating aspect of the Pomegranate is that every aspect is the same as a full-grown tree. For instance, the leaves, flowers, and fruits are identical only miniaturized. Because of this and its ability to be trained in so many styles, the Pomegranate is a favorite for bonsai enthusiasts. Favorite styles for this tree include cascade, literati, forest, informal upright, root over rock, twin trunk, tree on rock, twisting trunk, and windswept. The flowers are a magnificent orange/yellow color in the shape of trumpets. The trunk naturally twists, making it perfect for bonsai with the ancient and gnarled presentation. The leaves of the Pomegranate are a deep shade of green, marbled with bronze. When the tree finishes flowering, the fruit grows, which are tiny and beautiful red balls the size of golf balls. Proper Care The Pomegranate prefers hot sunny conditions. The soil for this tree needs to be kept moist at all times without being too wet. To encourage flowering shoots, you want to shade the tree and cut back on watering just slightly prior to the mid-season. However, placing the Pomegranate in a sunny spot where it can be protected from frost is what makes it happiest. The Pomegranate should also be planted in a deep container where the roots will have room to grow. When wiring this particular bonsai tree, be very careful in that the branches tend to break easily. Because of the beautiful fruiting, the Pomegranate is a wonderful choice for bonsai.
